She studied at Heartwood Herbal Medicine College where she trained in orthodox medicine as well as plant medicine including areas of medical sciences, pharmacognosy, materia medica, clinical reasoning, physical examinations and interactions between pharmaceutical medicine and herbal prescriptions.

Claire is a member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists (NIMH), the UK's leading professional body of herbal practitioners, founded in 1864.

Throughout the treatment, she guides her patients towards optimum well-being, by choosing specific medicinal plants and herbal remedy, as well as providing advice on diet, supplements and lifestyle. Claire is keen to combine the latest research with traditional plant medicine in order to provide an effective comprehensive treatment. She is aiming to change the patterns leading to the disease process and address the root of the problem. Alternatively, or additionally, it might be that help is needed towards adaptation to life changes, physical or emotional.
Claire appreciates that often, emotional and physical health are closely intertwined, and the beauty of herbal medicine is that the invaluable actions of the plants are working on both aspects simultaneously.

She believes that  ultimately, it is the collaboration between patient, practitioner and powerful plant extracts that leads to vibrant health.

In addition to in-person or on-line consultations, Claire offers a pre-consultation telephone conversation as an initial discussion about a patient's health and how herbal medicine can help.

Claire also loves sharing her experience and knowledge and provides talks and presentations, as well as herb walks and workshops, in order to empower people and give them tools and knowledge to improve their health and their connection with nature.
